Team India: टी20 वर्ल्ड कप शुरू होने की तारीख अब ज्यादा दूर नहीं है. 16 अक्टूबर से ICC के इस मेगा इवेंट का आगाज ऑस्ट्रेलिया की धरती पर होगा. टी20 वर्ल्ड कप में भारत 23 अक्टूबर को चिर प्रतिद्वंदी पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ अपना पहला मुकाबला खेलने उतरेगा, तब भारत के कप्तान रोहित शर्मा और कोच राहुल द्रविड़ के लिए ये बड़ी समस्या हो सकती है कि किस खिलाड़ी को प्लेइंग इलेवन में शामिल करें और किसको नहीं.

अक्षर पटेल टी20 वर्ल्ड कप से पहले बेहतरीन फॉर्म में चल रहे हैं. ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ तीन मैचों की टी20 सीरीज में  अक्षर पटेल ने कमाल का प्रदर्शन किया है. अक्षर पटेल ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ तीन मैचों की टी20 सीरीज में सबसे ज्यादा 8 विकेट झटके हैं. अक्षर पटेल अपनी घातक लेफ्ट आर्म स्पिन गेंदबाजी से कहर मचा रहे हैं. अक्षर पटेल नंबर 7 पर ताबड़तोड़ बल्लेबाजी भी करते हैं. ऐसे में अक्षर पटेल चोटिल रवींद्र जडेजा की जगह टी20 वर्ल्ड कप के दौरान सभी मैचों में भारतीय टीम की प्लेइंग इलेवन में शामिल रहेंगे.

ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने न्योता पाकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए भारत के सामने जीत के लिए 187 रनों का टारगेट रखा है. भारत को भले ही पहली सफलता फिंच के रूप में जल्द ही मिल गयी हो, लेकिन ऑस्ट्रेलिया के दूसरे ओपनर कैमरून ग्रीन (52 रन, 21 गेंद, 7 चौके, 3 छक्के) ने एक छोर से आतिशी शुरुआत दी. और पावर-प्ले में दो विकेट भले ही गिर गए हों, लेकिन तब तक ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने 66 रन बना लिए थे. फिर बीच में ग्लैन मैक्सवेल (6)  सस्ते में आउट हुए, तो इंग्लिस (24) और मैथ्यू वेड (1) को अक्षर पटेल ने पारी के 14वें ओवर में पांच गेंदों के भीतर चलता कर भारत को काफी हद तक मुकाबले में लाए, लेकिन आखिरी ओवर में आउट हुए टिम डेविड (54 रन, 27 गेंद, 2 चौके, 4 छक्के) और नंबर आठ बल्लेबाज डेनिल सैम्स (नाबाद 28, 20 गेंद, 1 चौका, 2 छक्के) ने मिलकर असरदार साझेदारी करके हुए ऑस्ट्रेलिया को कोटे के 20 ओवरों में 7 विकेट पर 186 रन तक पहुंचा दिया. भारत के लिए अक्षर ने सबसे ज्यादा तीन विकेट लिए.
